What TARO is
TARO is entertainment and self-reflection. It is not fortune-telling, and it is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. The cards do not predict the future, diagnose anyone, or speak for another person. It is not a crisis service: if you are in danger or thinking of harming yourself, put the app down and contact your local emergency number or a crisis line — for example, the directory at iasp.info.
Threads
Sending and receiving a Thread is free and stays free. A Thread involves another person: by sending one you are choosing to put their name and your question on our server so the link can be opened. Do not send Threads to people who do not want them, and do not use the app to harass anyone.
What you can buy
TARO+ is a subscription, offered monthly or yearly, with a one-off lifetime alternative. It adds depth: a longer reading, more voices, the repeating-card mirror and history with one person. Prices are shown in your own currency inside the app before you buy anything.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. The lifetime unlock is a single payment and does not renew.
An early look reveals the other person's three cards before they open the link and includes a reading of all six cards. One early look is free per device. Further early looks are optional one-time purchases, each for a single Thread, at the price shown in the app before purchase. Sending and opening the link remain free. An early look does not mark the link as opened by the other person. If they open it later, they see the same three cards and can take part in the conversation.
Purchases are handled by Apple. Refunds are Apple's to give, through reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your content
The names and questions you type stay yours. You give us permission to store and transmit them only as far as making the app work requires — see the Privacy Policy, which is the specific version of this sentence.
The artwork
The deck is original work made for this app. It is not a reproduction of any historical or commercially published deck. Do not extract or redistribute it.
Availability and liability
The app is provided as it is. A Thread may fail to arrive, a reading may not come, and the service may be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you make about your own life after reading a card. That is not a disclaimer trick: it is the actual nature of the product.
